I was tired of using a brick or stick or a rock to hold the doors open.
What i did is put a piece of 2x6 cut a short length and screwed a hinge on the door frame and on the piece of wood.

For a cheap fix take a piece of 1x4 pine or whatever you ve got laying around as long as it takes to reach within 6 of the end of each door when both are open screw to it 2 pieces of 2x4 scrap with a dado as wide as the top of each door so they will set in the dado cut dado about 1 deep and if necessary at an angle to match the slight angle of the doors if they don t open completely nail them to the board appropriately to reach the center of each door then open the doors wide put.
Hit the hinge pin with a hammer.
Use a couple self tapping screws to hold an eye on the upper part of the door and mount the hook to the top of the jamb.

When i open the door wide i flip the piece of wood inside the space of the shed door and then snug the door gently so it stays.
Open door swing hook up and place it in the eye.
While it performs the same function as a regular dead stop it is much gentler to the overall components of the closer and the door itself.
