Trafficmaster flooring installation basics.
When you come to the end of the first row cut the length of plank needed to complete the row.
Leave a half an inch of space at the wall.
This will allow for subfloor contraction and expansion.
Alternatively make a template of the floor layout.
Lay the first course of traffic master floorboards along one wall so the grooved sides of the floorboards face the wall.
Install the second plank next to the first by aligning the tongue into the groove and press the plank down to snap it in place.
This method works well with rooms that are easy to fit with few angles or obstacles.
Place the second plank at the 45 degree angle with the overedge on top of the underedge.
Completely waterproof grip strip flooring.
Begin the first row of flooring by placing the planks with the tongue side facing the wall.
Transfer the template to the vinyl and make the proper cuts prior to laying it in place.
Cut the vinyl 3 inches wider than the floor area on all sides and then trim the excess after laying it in place.
Start in the corner of the room and lay the first plank down with the underedge facing away of the wall insert quarter inch spacer between the wall and the planks as you install them.
Simple inexpensive and beautiful.
