Water stains can be easily removed from marble. Poultices are particularly effective for removing stains from stone surfaces because they draw the stain out of the stone as they dry. Since marble is softer than other natural stones such as granite it is more susceptible to staining from cooking and spills. Marble tile is just as susceptible to staining as solid marble but you can use the same method to remove stains from marble tile as you would solid stone.
