How to get lint of rugs.
Vinegar has its many uses similar to baking soda when it comes to carpet care and one of the most interesting uses is to fluff up high traffic areas where the carpet just looks worn out and the fibers have been flattened.
You can also use a rug pad to help minimize the wear and tear.
Plug in the shaver or trimmer and shave from the top left corner of the section down its length.
The most common cause is hair or black fluff from socks.
I also tried a lint roller on it which gets the big pieces off but still a lot of little ones left.
I have put it in the dryer and that s not really helping.
Work in small sections on large rugs.
Fluff your carpet with the power of vinegar.
Avoid vacuum cleaners with very concentrated high powered suction as they can loosen the wool fibers of your rug.
The fibres from the socks become intertwined with the fibres of the carpet and actually become part of it therefore changing the colour and making it much darker.
Block out a 4 by 4 foot area for the area you want to depill.

Lay the item flat preferably on a hard floor or outside so that the lint does not transfer to your carpet.
Once the liquid has been absorbed take a spoon and run it sideways along the carpet to loosen up fibres and get it back to normal.
Rugs made from natural plant fibers shed all the time i know from experience.
Also avoid plant fiber rugs like jute sisal and nettle.
Get some duct tape and go around and place the sticky side on the carpet and pull gently it will pick up the lint.

The rug said it was machine washable so i washed it and now there are black lint balls and pieces all over the rug.
The shaver will work best for removing lint balls.
I have a cream rug and there are black pieces all over it now.
Use a lint roller lint brush and or fabric shaver to remove as much of the lint as possible.
