The product goof off is made for taking sticky stuff off. Waxing is a popular method of hair removal but hot wax can be difficult to control if you are unfamiliar with handling it or have the wax warmer set to too high a temperature. As the sticky wax melts use newspaper to remove as much as possible. Then use hot hot water and old rag to clean whatever is left.

If you spill wax on the counter or floor do not panic. Hot wax is sticky and viscous and when you scoop it out of its pot it is difficult to prevent dribbling some off of the spatula. When i respond i try to tell the least harsh solution first and for most wax the alcohol would work well. If yours does not respond well then you should get the goof off which is sold at all hardware and paint stores in small bottles for about 2 3 dollars.

However there is a simple way to clean up any spills on wood without ruining it. Simply scraping it off of a hard surface can damage a delicate finish and leave residue behind and the longer wax cools and rests the more damaging it can be. Wax used for hair removal can be cleaned off wood. Body wax is excellent for removing unwanted hair from skin but it s not meant to end up anywhere else it cools quickly and hardens making it difficult to clean away completely.
