You can often remove latex paint from a laminate floor by scraping it with a plastic scraper. If there is still paint on the floor wet a soft cloth with rubbing alcohol and rub it on the paint area. Press the cloth on the stain and allow it remain for ten minutes if the stain has not been removed. Apply a commercial paint remover to a clean cloth.

It will take a considerable amount of solvent and rubbing to break down the polymers in the polyurethane. A rigid plastic putty knife is the best tool to use for the job. If you happen to spill any acrylic paint onto your floor then it is best to get it while it is still wet. Then remove the cloth and rinse the area with water.

These typically take anywhere from 60 minutes to eight hours to. Paint that hasn t completely cured is usually soft enough to scrape off the floor. Allow it to dry. If there s no damage to the glaze proceed for the remainder of the tile.

Rub the polyurethane from the outer edge of the tile toward the middle to create a pliable pool on the tile. Rub the paint remover on an inconspicuous spot on the tile. Rub the rag over the polyurethane to soften it. If you are able to get it before it dries you will need to get your wet vacuum and suck up as much of the paint as possible.

Scrape off paint with a plastic scraper held at a 45 degree angle. First use a stiff brush and a paint scraper to loosen the paint and vacuum up all debris. You can tap it with a hammer to break up hardened. Moisten clean cloths with soap and water mixture and wipe off the remaining paint.

Once you have done this cover the area with water and laundry detergent. Next apply a chemical paint stripper. If the paint has still not been removed pour rubbing alcohol on a soft cloth and gently rub it over the paint. If the paint is smooshed over the surface make a solution with vinegar rubbing alcohol water and dish soap and rub it out.

If the paint is oil based rub it out with white spirit turpentine or acetone.
